You play as a Vorax extensio (VOREX), an invasive carnivorous plant. Feeding on mushrooms, insects and water, your goal is to spread quickly, competing for control of strategic locations in the forest that you expand as the game progresses.

The rules of Vorex are very easy to learn but the game offers the feeling of a strategy game in a very short playing time, bringing a strong spatial dimension to a simple game engine.

On their turn, the players perform two actions, choosing from the 3 possible:

extend the board by placing forest tiles
collect the resources produced by their flowers on the board
place a new flower on the board, paying the required price – they can receive a discount if it is next to another of their flowers. Depending on where the flower is placed, it can produce additional resources for the rest of the game, or offer a free action immediately.

The game ends when a player places their 13th flower. Each game offers different scoring criteria, ensuring excellent replay value.

You will need to set up a sufficient production engine, block other players, build the board according to your objectives and place your flowers wisely to win a game of Vorex.
