Samsung expected to release 4 different foldable models this year
It's now a tradition for Samsung: every year, the South Korean firm releases at least two foldable models during the summer: the Galaxy Z Flip & Z Fold. This year will be no exception, and should also enrich the ranges of foldable smartphones offered by the manufacturer. So, according to Korean publication The Elec, Samsung is expected to launch not two, but four foldable smartphones this year.
The foldable in the spotlight in 2025 at Samsung
The Elec thus claims that Samsung should indeed release the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7 this year (about which we know very little at the moment, apart from the fact that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 should follow the current trend by offering a much finer design). At the same time, two completely new foldable models are planned: a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip SE (which we have already been able to talk about), as well as the famous three-part folding model, the name of which is still unknown.
This multi-part foldable model has been in the news for a while now. When Huawei released the Mate XT (its own dual-fold model), Samsung was quickly able to announce that it was working on a similar modele. Except that unlike Huawei Matethis foldable model should be able to be folded inwards, rather than adopting the S-shaped architecture of the Chinese competition. The Elec provides new information about this model: according to the South Korean publication, this model should have a 10-inch unfolded screen, which would make a panel almost as large as that of a tablet. On the other hand, 200,000 copies of this multi-part foldable smartphone would be planned by Samsung, which means that the model should only be available to a lucky few. Furthermore, its production should begin in the second quarter, for marketing in the third.
