Apple could upset its usual calendar by announcing the release of the iPad 11th generation from spring 2025. This update would take place after an endless wait, the previous model being released in October 2022. If one could expect a A major overhaul, this new version would focus on improving performance and compatibility with Apple Intelligence.
Power and intelligence under the hood
The most significant change would concern the integration of the A17 PRO chip, succeeding the A14 Bionic of the previous generation. This passage would offer an increase in processing speed by around 40 %, improving graphic capacities and multitasking. In addition, the RAM would be doubled, from 4 GB to 8 GB of RAM, thus facilitating the execution of gourmet apps and allowing access to Apple Intelligence functions.
Among the expected artificial intelligence tools, we find Genmoji, Playground Image, in -depth integration of Chatgpt and a revised SIRI for more intuitive assistance. This strengthening of the AI could transform the iPad into a more efficient and interactive personal assistant, making this experience improved accessible beyond premium models.
An unchanged design, but an enriched ecosystem
Despite these internal updates, the iPad would retain the design of its predecessor. However, Apple would plan to offer a new Magic Keyboard, thus reaffirming its ambition to position the iPad as a mobile alternative to laptops.
The 11th generation iPad should benefit from connectivity improvements, with the management of 6th WiFi and Bluetooth 5.3, as well as a 5G modem updated for cellular models. Some rumors suggest that Apple could integrate its own internal modem to optimize network management, as envisaged on the iPhone SE 4 (or iPhone 16th).
Strategic price positioning
With an estimated price range between $ 450 and 470, this model would target users concerned for their budget, in particular students and homes looking for an efficient tablet at an accessible rate. Its value for money could thus make a preferential choice in the Apple universe.
