Garmin Tactix 8: The watch for military use has a microphone and a speaker
Garmin's tactix is not the most popular connected watch. For good reason, it has an armada of tactical options, intended for military use.

However, the tactix is based on Garmin's Fenix range, a specialist in outdoor activities, well known to seasoned athletes. The new version of the Tactix 8 then incorporates a speaker and a microphone, just like the Fenix 8, released a few months ago.
It is then possible to make calls directly on the watch when it is coupled with a smartphone. Tactix 8 also responds to voice commands, as if to ask it to start an activity, without necessary internet connection.
Tactix 8 is also available in a 47 mm version. Only a 51 mm case was available with the Tactix 7. Garmin is then concerned with small wrists or simply of those who do not wish to wear an overly imposing watch.
In addition, the Garmin is still available in an AMOLED version, inaugurated with the Tactix 7. The versions with a MIP screen keep solar glass, increasing the autonomy of the tocante.
A connected watch for tactical activities
The Tactix 8 also has a new activity: Rucking. This profile allows you to save the weight of a backpack to take it into account in the calculation of physical effort. From 2 kg, the VO2 max deactivates so as not to distort the results.
From now on, all versions of Tactix 8 take up the Software Applied Ballistics Ultrallight and they are all compatible with the AB Quantum mobile application. This useful option in the event of a long -distance shooting allows you to enter several parameters of the shooting, such as caliber, distance, projectile weight, output speed or altitude difference.
Also, the Garmin watch is equipped with waterproof buttons, which can be activated during diving sessions, up to 40 m deep.
Apart from these tactical features, the watch is obviously equipped with a pulse oximeter and a cardiofrequency meter, and delivers a bunch of information such as sleep analysis or recovery score.
All these options have a price. Available from February 21, Garmin Tactix 8 connected watches will be offered from € 1399.99.
