Power rings: the Prime Video series will have a season 3

An expected renewal

It is at the studios Shepperton (Great Britain) that the production of the series developed by JD Payne and Patrick McKay is now taking place, according to Jrr Tolkien's work.

As a reminder, the latter have a five -season plan for this series which takes place during the second age, several thousand years before the adventures of Frodon Sacquet in The Lord of the Rings. A project that Amazon always seems ready to support, given the success of the series on its streaming service.

According to Prime Video, the series has attracted more than 170 million viewers around the world, and remains one of its most popular programs with The Boys And The wheel of time.

We already know that this season 3 takes place several years after the events of the second season, during the war between the Elves to Sauron, while the latter seeks to forge the unique ring which will give him the power of which he needs to win this conflict and conquer the land of the environment.

A third season in good hands

Prime Video also took advantage of the formalization of this season 3 to announce its three directors: Charlotte Brändström and Sanaa Hamri, who have already worked on the series, as well as the newcomer Stefan Schwartz.

Brändström, also an executive producer of the show, has frequented the land of the middle since season 1. She also made episodes of Shōgun,, Outland And The Witcher. Hamri has signed episodes of Gen V,, The wheel of time or 9-1-1: Lone Star. For his part, Stefan Schwartz has produced several episodes of The Boys,, Dexter,, My Lady Jane or The Americans.

All three will supervise several episodes of this third season of Power ringswhich can therefore be hoped to see on Prime Video in 2026.
