Thermomix TM7, everything on the new robot-cook: design, giant screen and AI in the kitchen
It's official! The Thermomix TM7 unveils its new face. It was in Berlin, in front of an audience of European journalists who counted the writing of digital technology that we were able to discover the new robot-cooker who unleashes all passions.
Always so sober and resolutely more “tech”, the Thermomix TM7 tries to renew itself and mark a break with the previous models.
A redesigned design and a larger screen
Visually, the TM7 changes its look and not just a little. Dressed in black, it wants to be sober and more discreet. This discretion also involves a redesigned silhouette and a refined base. Finished the imposing engine block, the base of the TM7 fits more easily in the kitchens and makes us think of the Thermomix friend Or a heated blender. Less bulky, less imposing, the Thermomix TM7 is no longer white, which makes it all the more elegant.
Another aesthetic novelty and not least: the screen. The TM7 wants to set the sight and to do this, it is equipped with an 11 -inch slab with a 10 -inch touch zone, when the Thermomix TM6 Embarks a 6.9 -inch screen. Recall that the TM6 had already created a break with the only 4.3 -inch screen of the TM5. Either. Reading comfort, if he was already very good, is now exceptional.
Everything now goes through the screen, since the wheel disappears. We are counting on the responsiveness and precision of the touch interface to make us forget it.
The bowl of the thermomix TM7 always cut for (small) families
The TM7 bowl once again chooses stainless steel, but it is now covered with a striated black plastic coating, the most beautiful effect. The tank is gaining elegance, so much so that it can act as a serving dish. This new appearance immediately refers to high -end codes. This shell is not aesthetic, it is also insulating and helps to avoid the risk of burns when the bowl heats up.
On the other hand, we thought that this time was the right one but it is not. Vorwerk said it: the thermomix TM7 bowl retains its capacity of 2.2 l. The manufacturer wishes to keep the compactness of the bowl for practical questions linked in particular to the comfort of use and not to clutter the kitchens more. However, we noticed it during our tests: the tank can be too small to prepare a full dish for 4 people with a good appetite.
Who says new bowl says new cover and it is completely redesigned too. He still takes advantage of an automatic closure system, but it is now possible to consider cooking with open bowls (up to 100 ° C and without rotation of the blades), a large first for the thermomix.
Therefore, optional accessories, such as MinuteOr the peeler-legume, remain compatible with this new TM7. But the accessories integrated into the device get a facelift. The spatula offered a youthful treatment. Longer, wider and more functional when the higher steam basket, more rectangular, sees its capacity increase by 40 %.
A real kitchen assistant
The strength of the thermomix holds a lot in its integrated recipe platform – Cookidoo – which accompanies step by step users in the development of their meals. The interface is more refined, more airy, it is split in two to display in particular on one side, the list of ingredients and on the other, the course of the current stage.
All automatic programs that are in the thermomix TM6 are there. Two new programs appear.
A first to brown the food at 160 ° C is now available. Also, it will normally be easier to cook the eggs with the TM7, since the user can choose the texture of the egg (slobbery, well cooked, etc.). On the old versions of the thermomix, the user had the choice only between “poached, calf or hard”.
Succumbing to the sirens of vocal assistants, the Thermomix TM7 is equipped with a microphone to be controlled by voice. Thus, users will be able to pilot their cooker robot and order it to mount the temperature, for example, without having to touch the screen; Which can be very practical in cooking. This is what follows suit to Lidl who, with his Mr. Cuisine Connecthad already joined a microphone in his robotter without ever activating the voice command. On the other hand, it will be necessary to wait until this summer to benefit from this functionality.
But how to take out a device connected in 2025 without invoking the one who is so much talked about: AI? Obviously, the Thermomix TM7 is stung with the artificial intelligence which should allow on this robot to optimize the recipes according to the available ingredients and the user's culinary habits. For the moment, Vorwerk is not communicating little on this point, but the information should be made public in the year.
A quieter engine
For years, Vorwerk has been working to reduce the noise emitted by its robotic cutter. Without really knowing how Vorwerk made its Thermomix TM7 much quieter than its elders, the demonstrations during the event turned out to be stunning. Some on-the-site spans have told us that this feat would come from the design of the engine and the overall assembly of the robot-cook. Our future tests in the lab will allow us to take stock of this criterion.

The thermomix TM7: the new leader in the small household appliances?
It is therefore with this brand new thermomix that Vorwerk plans to revitalize a slightly sleepy market while maintaining its hegemony. In recent years, the culinary preparation market has increased thanks to the advent of Airfyers (GIFAM figures). Could it be that the recipe for this new TM7 pleases consumers enough to divert their appetite from oil-free fryers? The future will tell us.
The Thermomix TM7 is available in pre -order this February 14 at a price of € 1599 and fully available on April 7, 2025. It will then be available for direct sale via a demonstration with an advisor, at home, in store or online .
