It is a turn that Poco operates. The brand of Xiaomi, historically focused on the quality-performance-Prix, makes its F series its most perfected range. It generally includes two devices, one classic and the other pro, as was the case for F6 in 2024. But in 2025, Poco shows the muscles and takes a higher -end turn, revealing, alongside its F7 Proa first Ultra F7.

Glass and tightness

The smartphone keeps Poco's usual design codes. We therefore find a slightly massive style, but which has still gained refinement over the years, with a back now in glass, and with matt finish avoiding fingerprints. It is not a compactness model, since it measures 160.26 x 74.95 mm and remains thick 8.39 mm, when the F6 PRO of 2024 was limited to 8.2 mm. It is very slightly heavier (3 g), with its 212 grams on the scale. Missing a little elegance, it is nevertheless pleasant in hand, and put everything on a technical sheet to say the least up to the posh. And it has the good taste of being certified IP68 (completely waterproof, therefore), where the F6 PRO was limited to IP54, that is to say to a splash resistance.

Focus on power

Because while the F6 Pro was not embarking on the latest generation of high-end Qualcomm chip, but the penultimate available (the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, in 2024), the F7 Ultra offers its latest version. It is therefore for the Snapdragon 8 Elite that the smartphone opens, accompanying it with the trifle of 12 GB of RAM at least, and even 16 GB for the version we tried. On the storage side (in UGS 4.1), count on 256 or 512 GB, without Port MicroSD, however.

Our first tests report performance – visible during gaming – high -flying, although slightly lower than those of those of those Xiaomi 15 And 15 Ultra, with the same Qualcomm chip. The heating, however, seems a little more contained, which we will check more widely during our laboratory tests, thermal camera in the fist.

Poco F7 Ultra

The adoption of the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip is certainly synonymous with power, which potentially classifies the device at the level of a Xiaomi 15 if we remain in the brand's ecosystem, but also models such as Samsung Galaxy S25. But not only: it allows the terminal to afford compatibility with WiFi 7, which allows it to be ready for the future, but also with the brand new Bluetooth 6.0 standard. Xiaomi wants to be at the forefront as regards this standard, which he is the first to have adopted on his models 15 and 15 Ultra.

Bright screen, XXL and telephoto battery

At the rank of the assets of this ultra Poco F7 Poco, let us note a new screen, announces less bright than that of the F6 Pro (which promised up to 4000 CD/m2, nothing less!), But which keeps its promise: Xiaomi announces 3200 CD/m2, and we noted 3169 CD/m2 Max in laboratory. A good point for this 6.67 -inch panel, at the refreshment rate certainly causing the LTPO, but still amounting to 120 Hz if necessary. We note that this Full HD+ display is associated with protection against homemade scratches, like the last Xiaomi 15; Exit the Gorilla Glass 5 of Corning, adopted by the F6 Pro.

This rather attractive technical sheet finally has a triple photo module comprising two 50 megapixel sensors and one of 32 Mpx. The first is devolved to the Grand Angle (f/1.6), the third to the ultra grand angle (f/2,2) and the third, to a telephoto lens. This is one of the major new products inaugurated by this ultra model, since the F series usually do not count; Xiaomi is part of the trend here, mid -range smartphones increasingly focusing on telephoto lens to seduce (think for example of the very accessible Nothing Phone (3a)). If the mobile does not go so far as to integrate a periscopic objective, it offers the equivalent of a 60 mm, i.e. a magnification x2.5, practical on a daily basis.

Poco F7 Ultra

Finally, it should be noted that Xiaomi does not skimp either on the battery capacity of its device (5300 mAh), or on the charging power (120 W in wired, 50 W without-FIL). The smartphone also runs on Android 15 with theHyperos 2 interfaceavailable on the Xiaomi 15 series and called to appear on many devices of the brand by the end of 2025. Suffice to say that it is no longer, in 2025, to target only gamers with POCO terminals: the F7 Ultra wants to seduce all types of users with its solid technical sheet.

Aggressive price positioning

It is finally on the price of the smartphone that you have to stop. Because if it is not lacking in almost nothing at the technical level – it must of course ensure good autonomy and a solid photo service in the laboratory -, it especially has the merit of appearing at the price content: the Poco F7 Ultra is announced at € 753 in a 12/256 GB version, and at € 803 in 16/512 GB. Launch offers allowing to obtain the first at € 699 (with moreover € 70 Terminal) and the second at € 749 (+ € 100 of recovery bonuses). On the brand's website, Xiaomi offers a choice of a Redmi Watch 5 Lite or a pair of Redmi Buds 6 in addition. Suffice to say that this lastborn in the Poco series plays the card of pricing attractiveness, to rank, if it transforms the test into a lab, among the best value for money of the moment.
