In total, twenty-four Tesla electric vehicles were destroyed by flames in the parking lot of a dealership in the Sybilles business area. It was around 3 a.m. that the alert was given.

But is it a case of arson or a criminal act possibly motivated by Elon Musk’s boycott? The question arises because when Donald Trump was elected, the billionaire became closer personally and ideologically. Tesla has therefore been targeted by numerous arson attacks because the brand bears the face of Elon Musk.

Images shared on social networks show the scale of the blaze which consumed the Teslas. In a[linksrc=”https://wwwlesnumeriquescom/voiture-electrique/[linksrc=”https://wwwlesnumeriquescom/voiture-electrique/

“Their rapid and massive action made it possible to preserve the building”specify the department’s firefighters. The teams remained mobilized until early morning and, fortunately, no casualties were reported.

Is this an anti-Elon Musk act?

As explained previously, the circumstances of the departure are still unclear. Forensic police spent much of the morning at the scene collecting clues. Is this a targeted attack against Tesla and the figure of Elon Musk? Impossible to say at present but according to a police source, “a fence at the back” of the concession “was cut out”. A disturbing element which directs investigators towards a possible criminal trail.

The Marseille territorial crime division is now handling the investigation opened under the qualifications of “destruction and damage to private property caused by means dangerous to others”. Charges which correspond to voluntary acts possibly dangerous to the safety of others.

Tesla reacted to this incident and explains, in a press release, carrying out “an internal investigation” on the events of the night of November 12 to 13 at Pennes-Mirabeau. The car manufacturer wants to collaborate “closely with local authorities in order to identify those responsible”.
