A week of use without recharging it: the limitless promises of the new Realme concept-phone

Realm’s somewhat crazy concept today comes out of its laboratories. The Chinese brand, which had recently teased the presentation of a Smartphone with a 15,000 mAh batteryor more or less the triple of a standard capacity, in fact the demonstration during its 828 fan festival, a conference dedicated to its fans welcoming its technical innovations each year.

The smartphone obviously has no names, since it is still only in the concept state. But it nevertheless deserves attention: the records broken by these slightly crazy prototypes serve as the basis for upcoming developments in consumer smartphones during the following years. And what Realme is working on, since he is about battery technologies. Like most of its Chinese competitors -Samsung, Apple and Google are still standing out of this subject -the manufacturer tries to lithium -ion batteries for silicon -carbon batteries. If we schematize, these batteries replace an anode composed of graphite with an anode using silicon. It is this material, allowing to store much more energy, which gives new generation accumulators their compactness (or in equal format, their greatest capacity) if they are compared to traditional batteries.

Always more silicon

In a concern for stability, silicon-carbon batteries currently use only a few silicon percent. The concept of Realme goes further: the manufacturer announces a silicon content of 25 % of the total of the battery. Result: a capacity of 15,000 mAh for a smartphone whose thickness is contained at 8.89 mm, or more or less that of a (slightly thick) smartphone today. The concept is advanced enough to display a complete technical sheet made of an OLED 6.7 -inch OLED screen, a mid -range chip Mediatek 7300, 12 GB of RAM and a storage of 256 GB, without forgetting a double dorsal photo module. Good to note also: the battery of this concept would be loaded at 80 W thanks to Supervooc technology.

Realme does not go there as a dead hand on the promises: its concept would be able to ensure a week of use without load, 50 hours of video streaming or even hold 3 months in plane mode. The brand logically indicates that its capacity can play external batteries to power another device if necessary. Finally, it should be noted that Realme had unveiled a smartphone concept with a 10,000 mAh battery in the spring of 2025 and that, according to the expert leak what Digital Cat Stationthe device (or at least, its battery) could be marketed in 2026.
