Air France: free and very high speed Wi-Fi with Starlink takes off

In September 2024, Air France signed a partnership with Starlink To improve internet access via WiFi aboard its flights. A year later, things become concrete and more and more passengers should be able to take advantage of the service over the months.
Air France begins the deployment of very high speed wifi
In a press release, the company said currently equipping the fifth device with its fleet with this very high speed WiFi access by satellite, an Airbus A350. By the end of the year, 30 % of its planes should be affected, with 100 % target by the end of 2026.

It is therefore both the long-haul and regional networks of Air France that are concerned. During this deployment period, the old offer remains offered, mixing the free message pass and the paid offer.
Free in all Air France flights, this new service promises to be able to navigate (including enjoying streaming videos and online video games) as at home. It is accessible on smartphones, tablets and computers and simply claims to connect to its Flying Blue loyalty account. Customers the first are also concerned. Creating a Flying Blue account can obviously be done on board.
Remember that this summer Air France/KLM was the victim of a massive data leak.
