Airpods Pro 3: Good news, Apple also offers instant translation to these old models

During its back -to -school keynote, Apple came with new products full of its bag. And who says new terminals also says new features. During its conference, the firm notably unveiled an instantaneous translation tool for its new headphones Airpods Pro 3. Good news: people equipped with older headphones will also be able to benefit from it.

Apple’s instant translation arrives on several models of AirPods

As has already been the case with Hearing aid on AirPods 2 Pro For example, Apple will go through an update to improve these, as well as the AirPods 4, with real -time translation. This is undoubtedly good news for the owners of these headphones who would not already want to buy new ones. It remains to be seen when the firmware update will be deployed.

For the moment, the translation is compatible with beta with English, French, German, Portuguese and Spanish. Italian, Japanese, Korean and simplified Chinese will arrive by the end of the year.

This novelty is unsurprisingly powered by Apple Intelligence and claims to be connected to a latest generation iPhone. Apple indicates that its tool works better if the two participants wear compatible AirPods to enjoy translated comments in their ears, but it is also possible to display an optional iPhone.

But not in Europe …

Bad news, however, we learn via an Apple support page that “Live translation with AirPods is not available if you are in the European Union and the country or region associated with your Apple account is also in the European Union.“. This new feature does not therefore concern (for the moment?) France. Too bad.

Finally, note that on the side of connected watches, Apple will also update old Apple Watch models with features introduced by new Series 11 and Ultra 3.
