Nova Lake-s processors are the subject of an information leak that makes your mouth water. According to a renowned leaker @g01d3nm4ng0, the new Intel processor architecture for office PC could take up to 52 cores.

52 cores for the Core Ultra 9!

Intel would use P-Cores, E-Cores and LP-Cores on this architecture and, like Arrow Lake, they would be devoid of Hyperthreading technology. Thus, there will be as many logical hearts as physical hearts.

Seven references ranging from the Ultra 3 Core to the Ultra 9 Core would be planned, with 12 to 52 cores respectively for a thermal envelope referred to from 65 to 150W.

With processors with as many hearts, we can only assume that Intel does not only aim at players, since games taking advantage of so many hearts are not legion. On the other hand, a creative and strongly multitasking use could greatly benefit from this proliferation of the number of hearts. By way of comparison, the ultra 285k Core, spearhead of Arrow Lake, has 24 cores, while the Ryzen 9 9950X has 16 Zen5 cores for 32 logical cores thanks to multithreading.

Not before 2026 with a new socket

However, it will be necessary to wait for a while before seeing the Nova Lake-S processors disembark, since their arrival is not expected before 2026. A refreshment of the Arrow Lake is also expected for the 4th quarter of this year.

One thing is certain, it will once again have to change motherboard since the socket that welcomes the processor will contain 1954 pin against 1851 brooks currently.
