Android 16 arrives on these Xiaomi smartphones, how to install it

For the moment, only two Xiaomi smartphones can take advantage of this Android 16 beta 2: the Xiaomi 15 and the Xiaomi 14t Pro.

To install this beta, obviously subject to potential bugs, several methods exist.

The main local installation method is to start downloading the Android 16 beta 2 ROM designed for your model, from these links:

Then check that you have the latest stable version installed on your smartphone (OS2.0.109.0 for the Xiaomi 15 and OS2.0.103.0 for the Xiaomi 14 T Pro). Also save your sensitive data, this installation will erase it.

Finally, copy the ROM downloaded to your smartphone and head for the settings. There, click on “About the device” and type 10 times on “OS version” to enter developer mode. Once this is done, click on the version of the OS at the top, then on the three small points at the top right. Select “Choose the update package”, then the ROM you downloaded.

Recall that to reset in FastBoot mode, you have to turn off your terminal then press 4-5 seconds at the same time on the low volume and power buttons.
