October 15, 2025: Apple formalizes its new high-end MacBook Pro 14 M5 laptop equipped with the latest generation Apple Silicon M5 in-house chip and is already available for pre-order in France.
Tahoe and new Apple Silicon M5 in-house chip
The new laptop Apple MacBook Pro 14 M5 evolves under macOS Tahoe.
It is based on a SoC (System-on-Chip) processor. Apple Silicon M5 engraved in 3nm+ which combines 10 CPU cores(4 Performance + 6 Efficient) and 10 GPU cores ray tracing with the Metal FX engine, with Mesh Shading.
L’Artificial intelligence is of course in the spotlight with the 16-core Neural Engine designed to ensure the processing of local AI tasks, in particular via Apple Intelligence now integrated into the system.
There unified memory reaches up to 32 GBwith an increased bandwidth, while the SSD storage starts at 512 GB and expands up to 4 TB depending on the configuration (customizable).
The Apple firm communicates on performance 3.5 times higher in AI, 1.6 times higher in graphics for its Silicon M5 and 20% faster in multi-threading.
This new chip is mainly aimed at creators, developers and analysts of all kinds, wanting to be very well suited to greedy work such as 3D rendering or deep learning without forgetting the import/export of multimedia files.
The Silicon M5 Pro and Max editions would be planned for 2026.
Other features of the Apple MacBook Pro 14 M5

To upgrade to 32GB of RAM and 4TB of storage with a 96W USB-C adapter, it costs 3884 euros.
