Since its launch, Apple Music has suffered from a major brake on its adoption: the absence of a music library transfer option from another platform (Spotify, Deezer, Qobuz, YouTube Music …). This was so Reserved for third -party servicesunknown to the general public. Good news, the apple firm started the deployment of a dedicated tool!

The official tool to migrate your music library to Apple Music

Discovery in February 2024 via a beta ofApple Music On Android, the music library transfer functionality to Apple Music is now reality. A support page D’Apple indeed shares the good news, unfortunately exclusive to subscribers from Australia and New Zealand.

Available on iphoneiPad, Android or via the web, the functionality simply allows you to transfer your songs, albums and reading lists from other musical services to Apple Music.

For this, Apple has established a partnership with a specialist in the matter: Songshift. Instead of going through the dedicated application of the company, the service was directly integrated into the Apple musical streaming platform, thus making the approach much more accessible.

Depending on the device used, the process is available in different places:

On iPhone / ipad : in the app Settingssection AppsThen Music
On Android: directly in the Apple Music application settings
On the web: via the drop -down menu appearing after clicking on its profile image

It remains to be seen when Apple wishes to deploy this functionality in Europe, and in particular in France. One thing is certain: the more Apple will quickly deploy this function, the more it will appeal to users ready to change platform!
