Killers of the Flower Moon

At the beginning of the 20th century, oil brought fortune to the Osage people, which has become one of the richest in the world overnight. The opulence of these Native Americans immediately attracts the lust of poorly recommendable whites which intrigue, support and fly as much as possible, before resorting to murders.

Massive as much by the ambition of its subject as by its duration (206 minutes), Killers of the Flower Moon is a film of great mastery, and an uncompromising and necessary look at the dark past of America. A huge film which proves that more than 80 years old, Martin Scorsese has not finished with his cinema of a crazy vitality, which still manages to pick us in our seat.

The wolf people

In a time when superstition and magic reign, a young apprentice hunter, Robyn Goodfellow, travels to Ireland with his father in order to eradicate the very last pack of remaining wolves. As she explores the prohibited islands beyond the city walls, she became friends with Mebh, a young girl with a free spirit belonging to a mysterious tribe, which are said to have the faculty to turn into wolves at nightfall. Throughout their research to find Mebh’s mother, Robyn discovers a secret that brings her closer and closer to the enchanted world of the Wolfwalkers, and risks transforming precisely into what his father is responsible for destroying.

This film signed from the Cartoon Saloon studio, already behind the excellent Brendan and Kells’ secret And The song of the seais a jewel at all levels. A story mixing Celtic folklore, legends, endearing characters and rich thematic, all sublimated by a simply magnificent animation. A nugget.

CODA

As Coda (child of deaf adults), Ruby is the only person hearing in his house. When she discovers a passion for singing, Ruby must choose between family obligations and her dreams.

This American remake of The Aries family is a successful adaptation that has the merit of having real hearing impaired people. A concern for authenticity which adds a small extra soul to an already touching story. Very first platform film to have won the Oscar for the best film, CODA is a feel-good movie far from being revolutionary, but which will give you a smile.

Tetris is the story of the true (and crazy) History of the birth of cult video game. Worn by the talented Taron Egerton (Kingsman: secret services,, Rocketman), the film skillfully juggles between pop culture references, the technological frenzy of the time and political intrigue, all against the backdrop of the end of the Cold War. If the whole makes a little Wikipedia filmed page, we can easily be taken by the tense story, and Tetris will delight fans of video games as much as the simple curious people.

Spirited

With each New Year’s Eve, the ghost of the Christmas present chooses a dark soul that the visit of three spirits will save. But this time, he does not make the right choice. Clint Briggs overturns the roles and it is present that finds himself in front of his past, his present and his future.

Will Ferrell and Ryan Reynolds form an explosive duo in this hilarious and musical comedy offering a modern rereading of the work of Charles Dickens A Christmas song. Told from the point of view of the ghosts, the film is a pretty party whose catchy songs are signed Benj Pastek and Justin Paul (Oscar winners for La la Land), which is well worth taking a look at it.
