It’s a big week for the Republic of Gamers division. ASUS has just released version 2.1.15.0 of its software, Armory Crate SE (ACSE), accompanied by new BIOS and firmware. What catches the eye in this patch note is the confirmation of extended support for four distinct models: the classic ROG Ally (RC71) and Ally X (RC72), but also the ROG Xbox Ally (RC73YA) and ROG Xbox Ally X (RC73XA).
Armory Crate SE: Optimization of display and ergonomics.
The ACSE 2.1.15.0 update, available today, brings changes designed for gaming comfort and autonomy on all devices:

- 40 FPS Sync: The frames per second limiter (FPS Limiter) has been adjusted. The option goes from 45 to 40 FPS. A choice which allows synchronization with the 120Hz refresh rate of the panels (40 being an integer divider of 120), guaranteeing better fluidity without image tearing.
- Integrated Radeon Chill: AMD’s power saving technology is now directly integrated into the FPS limiter function.
- More Accurate Gyroscope: The gyroscopic aiming algorithm has been improved to provide better in-game accuracy.
- Windows Power Management: It is now possible to change Windows power modes directly from the Manual Operating Mode page.
On the interface side, ASUS added an update notification functionality in the Command Center and changed the color of the buttons on the bottom bar for a more sober design. Additionally, there is now an option to enter or exit full screen mode via keyboard shortcuts.
Focus on the “ROG Xbox Ally” models (RC73 Series)
The RC73 models (Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X) are receiving special attention in this wave of patches.
On the ROG Xbox Ally This model also benefits from improved haptic feedback for Impulse Triggers.
For the standard ROG Xbox Ally (RC73YA), a debug interface has been added with the microcontroller update (MCU 322).
An important change concerns the two RC73 models: the AMD RSR (Radeon Super Resolution) function is now disabled by default.
BIOS and Drivers: Stability and Autonomy
Beyond the interface, it is the heart of the system which is updated via the official website and Armory Crate:
- AMD GPU Drivers (V25.10.25.27): Deployed on Xbox Ally models, they improve overall in-game performance and fix an audio bug related to Auto Super Resolution.
- BIOS (315 for RC73YA / 312 for RC73XA): These versions optimize energy consumption in “Modern Standby” mode and refine the detection of the connection of the mains adapter.
- Miscellaneous fixes: Issues related to Cloud Recovery (which could hang on reboot) have been resolved, and the version X touchpad firmware has been updated for better stability.
These updates are available now through the Armory Crate SE app on your console.
