Audible in brief

Audible is a digital service for books and other audio content belonging to the Amazon group since 2008. The service allows its users to listen to Audible Originals audiobooks, creations and podcasts. To benefit from the Audible catalog, it is possible to purchase titles individually or subscribe.

It is thanks to the Audible application, available on iOS, Android and Windows, that users can listen to this content at any time on their smartphone, as well as on a tablet, computer or via Amazon Echo and Sonos speakers.

Note that with Audible, your audiobooks automatically sync across all your devices. An obvious fact in 2025, but always pleasant to remember.

Audible offers a one-month trial to its new subscribers then sets the price of its subscription at 9.95 euros per month.

This monthly subscription, which can be canceled without charge or paused at any time, provides access to one audio credit per month that users can exchange for the audiobook of their choice. The latter then belongs to them forever, even if they cancel their subscription.

If the audio credit is not used during the month, it is automatically carried over to the following month but it is only possible to accumulate 6 at a time, and you must use them before canceling your subscription, otherwise they expire upon cancellation.
