Avengers Doomsday: Marvel reveals the casting xxl which will have to save the MCU

Marvel is not in great shape on the screens. Despite the start Deadpool & Wolverine at the box office, the MCU has not been doing at best since Avengers: Endgame. You just have to see the latest film to date, Captain America: Brave New Worldwho is A resounding flop.. Disney therefore needs real success to relaunch the machine.

With the next films Thunderbolts (April 30) and The fantastic four: first steps (July 23), which should remain relatively minor in the Marvel cinematographic universe, the real big piece is obviously Avengers: Doomsday in May 2026, which will be followed in 2027 by Avengers: Secret Wars.

Lots of returns to save the MCU

To oversee the ambitious project which will try to be as epic as the dyptic Avengers: Infinity War And Avengers: EndgameMarvel brought the duo back which is originally: Anthony and Joe Russo. The latter recently achieved the very mediocre and yet very expensive blockbuster The Electric State For Netflix.

And this Wednesday, March 26, Marvel had fun during a live of more than 5 hours to add one by one the chairs of actors and actresses who will be present in Avengers: Doomsday.

The X-Men finally arrive

What to remember? Obvious or already known presences first, like that of Robert Downey Jr. who will swap his armor of Iron Man to become the main antagonist, or those of Captain America, Thor or the new Black Panther.

The fantastic four and the characters introduced in Thunderbolts There will also be there, as well as characters from previous films, such as Namor, Ghost or Shang-Chi. We will also note the return of Loki, despite the conclusion of his own series.

More surprising (or not), Marvel will finally enjoy this Avengers: Doomsday To fully introduce the X-Men to the MCU. Initially cameos in previous feature films, Gambit and Professor X will be there for example, but also Cyclops, Magneto and other Nightcrawler. All will be embodied by their original actors of X-Men films from the 2000s. A beautiful nostalgia operation.

On the other hand, absences should be noted, like that of Spider-Man. The spider man, however, will have his own film between these two Avengers. No Daredevil either, despite its recent series Daredevil: Born Again On Disney+.
