Avengers Secret Wars: Spider-Man actress joins the cast of the Marvel film

A little over two years before its release in cinemas, the film Avengers: Secret Wars has not finished expanding its already impressive cast. Besides Robert Downey Jr. and the many actors revealed a few months agowe have just learned that another actress is joining the “Earth’s Mightiest Heroes” team: Sadie Sink.

The arrival of Mayday in the Avengers?

As revealed by our American colleagues from the Deadline site, the actress made famous for her role as Max in the series Stranger Things will join the set of the next film Avengers which will take place in London at the beginning of 2026. The big question persists: who will she play?

While the mysterious Avengers: Doomsday will arrive in cinemas in December 2026, the story of its sequel Avengers: Secret Wars is of course also marked with the seal of secrecy. Just like the role of Sadie Sink, that the actress will hold before that in Spider-Man: Brand New Dayexpected this summer at the cinema.

No official information has yet been released on the character played by Sink, but rumors are rife. Fans imagined that she could play the new Mary Jane or even Jean Gray from the X-Men. However, persistent rumors from the corridors suggest that she is in reality Mayday, aka Spider-Girl.

Mayday Parker is in the comics the daughter of Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson. She has already been seen as a baby in the animated film Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verseand the existence of the Multiverse in the MCU would thus allow her to be the daughter of the Sam Raimi version of the spider-man.

A theory that would introduce the character in an intelligent way, while making the link with the previous film Spider-Man: No Way Homein which Tobey Maguire already appeared. This would also coincide with the plot centered around the Multiverse of this Avengers: Secret Wars.

If the official synopsis is not known, we can however turn to the history of the eponymous comics, published between September 2015 and January 2016: “The Multiverse is destroyed. As the different dimensions collide, all that remains is Battleworld, a unique world created with fragments of realities saved by Doom, who became God. But a handful of surviving heroes from the old world reappear…”

Regardless, the veil of mystery should lift in the coming months, with the theatrical release on July 29 of Spider-Man: Brand New Dayand whose events will lay the foundations for the next two big events in the Marvel universe, namely Avengers: Doomsday (December 16, 2026) and Avengers: Secret Wars (December 15, 2027).
