B & YOU customers, beware of this automatic and disguised increase in your package

Bouygues Telecom is not the first, and will probably not be the last, sometimes to use a little permanent methods to scrape a few euros from his subscribers. Today, via its low cost b & you branch, the operator has decided to launch a formula called “B & You Max”. Some subscribers have been informed by email. Behind this name is actually hiding a price increase against some options. The catch is that this change is automatic, unless it is expressly refused.

B & You Max: an “improvement” that it is possible to refuse
The “B & You Max” formula adds 2 €/month to the invoice. Against this sum, which still represents a strong increase in the case of the smallest packages of the operator, Bouygues Telecom adds 20 GB of data usable in Europe and in the French overseas departments, as well as 5G.
A very relative interest therefore, since some packages already offer 5G and many users are satisfied with 4G and do not need a larger mobile data envelope. If this formula had been an optional option, why not. But there, this change, fortunately without obligation, is automatic and only decided by Bouygues Telecom.
However, via a link in the email received, via its subscriber space or by contacting customer service, it is possible to refuse this “enrichment” in order to maintain its current formula. Be careful however, some users seem to encounter problems to signify their refusal.
Bouygues finally specifies that the first month of transition to “B & You Max” is offered and that the new invoicing will not be triggered until next August. The persons concerned have until the end of August/beginning of September 2025 as the case may be to signify their choice in Bouygues Telecom.
