Canal+: Before terminating or paying a too expensive subscription, think of this tip

Canal+ offers one of the richest offers in the SVOD in France, especially with its various packs. But it is also the most expensive streaming service, that we talk about subscriptions with or without commitment. However, there is an unknown tip to save money in a few clicks, especially with contracts with a commitment period. Do not pay the full price or do not renew your subscription (the price of which can increase in some cases) without thinking and follow the guide.

Canal+ offers a slightly hidden discount for people who are resounding, then finally relaunch a subscription with commitment. This was the case with our Subscription Canal+ Ciné Series at € 41/month.

In possession of this contract with commitment from 24 months to April 2026 (whose temporary preferential rate of one year has been completed since April 2025), we have first applied for termination from our customer area. Enough to continue to benefit from all the content of the subscription in all cases until this date, while Canal+ offers to be accompanied in the process by phone or email.

But, surprised, when returning to our customer area, a new banner offers to renew our contract now with a 20 %discount. Some customers with other formulas have been able to go up to 40 %.

By clicking on this banner, you are on a summary of your current package, with the -20 % applied. Our package thus falls at € 33/month for 12 months, today, the date of renewal of the contract.

Be careful however, the price dates back to € 41/month after these 12 months, and this manipulation re -engages for 24 months (until the end of September 2027 in our case). Nothing prevents you, however, after a year, from redoing the same manipulation to lower the price again. Do not hesitate to try to negotiate by phone with Canal+ if necessary, paying a full price subscription is never inevitable.

Note that this trick also works very well with the audible audio book service, very generous with new offers at sacrificed prices when a customer decides to leave.
