Previously, ChatGPT’s voice mode opened a completely different conversation than the text version. This is all history now, as everything changed last night for voice mode. OpenAI in fact explains on his social networks that “you can now use ChatGPT Voice directly in chat, without the need for a separate mode”.

The opportunity for users to view answers in real time after asking the AI ​​a question. This not only displays text, but also visuals, “such as real-time images or maps”. Thus, the discussion becomes more interactive, moving beyond being confined to a simple audio call and transcription.

Good news in the story: everything is already available, and even in France. Only an update to the latest version is necessary to benefit from this new voice mode.
