
Citroën, Peugeot, Fiat … Stellantis recalls more than 600,000 vehicles equipped with the 1.5 BlueHDi diesel engine

Between 2017 and 2023, the group Stellantis sold more than 600,000 Peugeot, Citroen, DS, Opel and Fiat in France in France with 1.5 BlueHDi (DV5) diesel engines. Problem, this engine can encounter premature wear and breakthroughs related to the camshaft chain. This is why the group decided to carry out a progressive recall campaign and possibly compensate the persons concerned.

Stellantis beats the recall and brush motorists in the direction of the hair
If you drive in particular in Citroën C3 or C4, in Peugeot 208, 2008 or 308, or in Opel Corsa or Mokk, the most concerned models, you will probably be contacted in the future. Good new home: Stellantis will extend the warranty extension to 10 years or 240,000 kilometers. The firm also covers all the costs of its recall campaign, parts in the workforce.
If you drive in one of these vehicles and a suspicious snapping noise or a “noise of cicadas” are heard, you are most likely concerned. During the recall, it is also an internal application which identifies, to the noise, the level of wear of this central part of the engine which regulates the opening and closing of the intake and exhaust valves.
In addition, from mid-July, the people already affected by this problem of camshaft chain and who would have paid repairs between the beginning of 2023 and June 2025 will be able to request a reimbursement from Stellantis via this portal.
