Europe, at the dawn of the 20th century, the industrial exploitation of coal mines has become a capital economic issue.
Coal Baron is a management game. The concept of game (gameplay) is based on the management of workers, which are your resources to trigger your actions. Each player must manage his hand of workers with care, in order to assign them to the various tasks necessary for mining: obtain money from the bank, make mining wagons, descend into the mine to recover coal, deliver orders and choose new ones.
But beware, Coal Baron is a strategy game. The number of workers necessary to carry out an action increases in each turn, which means that to be on the right rails, players must constantly adapt their strategy to maintain their competitive advantage.
Coal Baron is also a game of reflection and tactics. To add even more complexity, each player can also invest in advanced technologies to improve their efficiency and profitability, while keeping an eye on the movements of their opponents to avoid being distanced.
