Covid.gov: Donald Trump modifies the federal site to disseminate theories deemed conspiracy

The new version of the site displays an imposing banner with the mention “Lab Leak” (laboratory leak) and a photograph of Donald Trump. The covidtests.gov site, which allowed Americans to order free tests, undergoes the same fate: a redirection to the new page.
Covid.org diffuses controversial theories
The new content of Covid.gov claims that it will reveal the “real origin” of the virus and accuse a Chinese laboratory to “Inadequate biosecurity levels” have “Leave to flee” SARS-COV-2.
The site displays other controversial theories, for example that the Biden administration has voluntarily hidden the origins of the virus and “Disbolized alternative treatments”. The portal also accuses the World Health Organization of having “Ched in pressure from the Chinese Communist Party” in its management of the health crisis.
A link to the report of the surveillance commission of the House of Representatives, which also supports the hypothesis of a laboratory leak, is now in good place.
The discovery of these modifications being recent, the exact date of transformation is uncertain. According to an archived version, Covid.Gov was in place until April 10, at least.
Covid.gov changes are part of a Trump administration strategy which has changed federal sites since taking power to align them with its political positions, even controversial. Pages on climate change, equality or gender identity have been deleted or modified.
The reshuffle of Covid.Gov shows the politicization of US government communication and asks questions about access to reliable health information for citizens.
