Discover the Hue Play wall projector: Philips’ ultimate light experience to synchronize TV, music or games

If the Hue Play of Philips sounds familiar to your ear, it is because the brand already markets under this name Light bars To create atmospheres, energize content on TV or during video games. Today, Philips Hue continues the extension of its lighting range connected with the Play Wall Washer, a wall projector designed in this same perspective, but in a different format. The device projects a gradient of colors on the walls and adapts in real time to the content diffused on the screen.

Designed in brushed aluminum, the Hue Play wall projector adopts a compact and sober shape with a transparent projection surface. On, on, it uses a proprietary technology called ColoCast, which diffuses a colored light spectrum on a large area varying depending on the distance with the wall. The device can be synchronized with video games, movies or music via the case Hue Play HDMI Sync Box (sold separately) and synchronization applications for LG and Samsung TV or PC.

Dynamic and customizable light

Beyond its visual effects, the projector is designed to adapt to user preferences. It is possible to modulate the intensity, speed or orientation of light directly in the HUE mobile app, which offers a 3D interface for adjustment via drag-drop.

The Play Wall Washer can also operate independently, without synchronization with content. In this mode, it diffuses a lighting light made up of soft and colorful gradients.

Integration into the Hue ecosystem and an increasing price

Compatible with all the accessories in the Hue range, the new wall projector can be ordered by voice via the Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple Homekit voice assistants. It will be marketed from June 2025 in Europe at a price higher than the light bars: € 199 per unit and € 349 for a lot of two.
