Disney+ new features: series and films not to be missed in July 2025

In the wake of Netflix,, Video premium And MaxTHE Disney streaming service Unveiled the films, series and documentaries that arrived in its offer in July 2025 on Monday.

A lighter arrival than usual, but which still contains some nuggets like a documentary on The teeth of the seathe series Washington Black or the film Without ever knowing us.

The Disney+ series of the month

Washington Black

The story of George “Wash” Black, an eleven -year -old boy born in a barbadic sugar cane plantation. Small scientific genius, he will experience an unexpected destiny. When a terrible incident pushes him to run away, he begins a planetary journey which forces him to review his definition of family, freedom and love.

Based on the eponymous successful novel of Esi Edugyan, the series Washington Black is a neat adaptation of this fresco both historic and fantastic, populated by earthy characters. Created by Selwyn Seyfu Hinds, this series of eight episodes is produced by actor Sterling K. Brown (This is us,, Paradise) is promised to intertwine an adventure in Jules Verne and its strong themes of identity and emancipation.

Without ever knowing us

Adam, a screenwriter, got to know his enigmatic neighbor, Harry. As their relationship develops, Adam rethinks to the past and returns to his childhood home. There, he made an overwhelming discovery: his parents, whom he had known for a long time, are still alive and have not aged a day since their alleged death, more than 30 years ago.

Acclaimed when it was released in 2023, and appointed in particular to the Golden Globes and the Bafta, Without ever knowing us is an overwhelming romance and drama, with a bewitching atmosphere. A melancholy dive in the heart of memories and regrets of two tormented souls, embodied by the excellent Andrew Scott (Fleabag,, Sherlock) and Paul MESCAL (Normal people,, Gladiator II).
