DJI Neo 2: the “I do it all” drone, taking off and landing from the palm of your hand

DJI revisits the little Neo with a second version that is even more easily affordable by any user. Beginner, experienced or thrill-seeker, the future user of this little supercharged drone will find a multitude of automations to accompany them in most of their outdoor leisure activities or family outings. Equipped with a 1/2″ 12 MP CMOS sensor with f/2.2 aperture and a powerful image processor, the Neo 2 offers clear, low-noise images, stabilized by a new 2-axis gimbal.

At just 151g, the Neo 2 is DJI’s lightest and most compact drone equipped with an omnidirectional obstacle detection system. It features gesture control for fully handheld operation, a SelfieShot mode for capturing moments effortlessly, and an enhanced ActiveTrack mode for easier low-altitude tracking during activities like running or cycling. The drone films in 4K at up to 100 FPS for slow motion or in 2.7K vertical, offering sharp and detailed cinematic quality.

DJI has improved tracking performance with faster response and better stability, tracking subjects at up to 12 m/s in open areas, in eight directions (forward, backward, left, right and diagonal). With level 5 wind resistance, the small Neo 2 offers up to 19 minutes of battery life and 49 GB of internal storage. The transfer of images to the smartphone via Wi-Fi (up to 80 MB/s) is carried out without cables, via the DJI Fly application.

Take off in two clicks

The Neo 2 has a small integrated screen, located to the left of the camera, which displays the selected shooting mode. It can take off from the palm of your hand by pointing it towards you and pressing the take off button. Once the capture is complete, the Palm Return feature allows the Neo 2 to precisely locate its user’s hand, return and land smoothly.

Gesture control

With gesture control, the direction and distance of the drone can be managed with one or two hands. With just one palm, you control left/right movements and altitude. With both hands, spreading your palms moves the drone backwards, while bringing them together makes it return without requiring the use of a radio control or any application.
The Neo 2 supports voice control which allows commands to be sent via a smartphone or Bluetooth headset, even during sporting activity. For greater range, it can be combined with the DJI RC-N3 remote control to achieve up to 10 km of video transmission. The Neo 2 can be controlled without a radio control, with a motion controller or in immersive FPV mode with connected glasses.

Intelligent shooting modes

The Neo 2 integrates several intelligent modes to create original videos with ease.
• Dolly Zoom: enables the Hitchcock effect, perfect for social networks.
• QuickShots: Includes Dronie, Circle, Rocket, Spotlight, Helix and Boomerang, making it easy to create captivating shots while cycling, skateboarding or any other activity.
• MasterShots: automatically captures several shots and edits them with music for a professional look.

Triple protection

The Neo 2 combines omnidirectional monocular vision, lower infrared sensors and front-facing Lidar, detecting obstacles in real time for safe flight. Its integrated propeller guards ensure complete safety, ideal for beginners. The Neo 2 offers more stable flight and better positioning capability than the previous model, even indoors, near buildings, or over water or snow.
