DS n ° 4 E-Tense: the electric compact reveals its cozy prices
Renowned n ° 4 with its mid-carrier restyling, the DS 4 has mainly won a new 100 % electric e-Tense version. The Premium Compact sedan now reveals its prices.
DS n ° 4 starts at € 39,000 in a 48 -V hybridization petrol version of 145 hp, a price comparable to that of its main rivals that are the BMW 1 Series, Mercedes Class A and other Audi A3.
As for the E-Tense electrical model, its prices are much more full-bodied. Thus, it takes from € 46,990 to buy it in Pallas finish. Admittedly, this price should make it eligible for the ecological bonus from 2000 to 4000 € at the entrance, but the other versions, which exceed the ceiling of € 47,000 excluding options, should not have the favors. In high star finish, the DS n ° 4 e-Tense is sold for € 51,290.
More expensive than competition, but no better armed
Although DS No. 4 E-Tense escapes any direct competition, its prices seem high. For example, a Tesla Model 3 is sold from € 39,990 (not eligible for the bonus), while it is a model of the upper segment and the much more serious technical sheet. With its price of € 46,990 at the entry level, the DS n ° 4 E-Tense is displayed at the same price as the SUV Audi Q4 e-tron. Again, the technical sheet of the two models is not to the advantage of DS.
It must be said that n ° 4 e-Tense seems very weakly armed. It receives only a pack of 58.3 kWh useful for a mixed autonomy of 450 km in WLTP cycle, without the option of a larger battery. Its electric motor develops 157 kW (213 hp) and 343 Nm. On the recharge side, DS promises a 20 to 80 % in about 30 min, which is far from current standards, with a peak power of only 120 kW in direct current.
