Encyclopedia is a game and collection placement game that takes place at the turn of the 18th century. The players embody naturalists, traveling the world to study animals before publishing their discoveries.
Each round, players launch dice and use the values and/or colors of their dice (or those of other players) in order to initiate a variety of actions: collect funds from the bank, ask for help from the Royal Academy, do research on animals, go on expedition and more!
The players earn not only points by publishing their research, but also by initiating experts, improving their reputation with their peers and optimizing their actions. The player who has the most points at the end of the game wins.
