With the external lock, Avidsen, a French company specializing in Connected home solutionsintroduces a connected lock designed to adapt to daily uses without upsetting the appearance of a front door. Operating exclusively via Bluetooth, it allows you to lock or unlock your door with a simple gesture on smartphone, without internet connection.

A lock designed for use … and forgetting

Sobre, circular (50 mm in diameter for 140 g) and invisible from the outside, the Lock Exit is distinguished by its discretion. It does not require work or drilling: the device sets up on the interior side by simply replacing the existing cylinder with a compatible model. Four cylinders in European format are available (from 30/35 to 45/45).

The device automatically adjusts during the first activation: opening sense, number of laps, operation of the handle. It is thus compatible with most configurations, including multipoint locks.

Wireless and cloudless

The technological bias is clear: no Wi-Fi, no cloud, so no risk of remote intrusion. The lock communicates only in Bluetooth 5.0, with an AES-256 encryption. This implies that the smartphone must be in the immediate vicinity, limiting the risk of hacking.

An openings journal is accessible via the mobile application, only in Bluetooth, offering local monitoring of access without external recording.

Multiple autonomy and access

The Extel Lock operates on two rechargeable batteries, with an announced autonomy of four months (based on 10 openings per day). Recharge is made via a USB-C Magnetic cable. In the event of a breakdown, two mechanical keys always allow a manual opening.

Optionally, a backlit Bluetooth keyboard (€ 89.90) and NFC badges (up to 100 users) offer alternative access modes. These accessories allow other members of the home – children, relatives, home help – to enter without a smartphone.
