Facebook needs all your photos to modify them with AI
AI and private data, it doesn’t mix well at Meta. Users publish their private discussions with Meta Ai By mistake and now, Facebook wishes to modify their entire gallery. The authorization request appears when publishing on Story since the application.
Facebook then asks to activate the “Cloud treatment”. If the button “Authorize” is in a hurry, the application retouchs the images of the photo film of the smartphone with the AI or still offers collages.
The operation requests the continuous upload of the user’s media on Meta AI servers. The company ensures that this novelty is not used for advertising targeting.
If you accept, Meta explains under its conditions that the company analyzes the media and facial lines by AI and also uses dates or objects to generate results. In short, in terms of confidentiality, many are worried.
Meta justifies this collection of data by the fact “To offer innovative features, including the ability to summarize image content, modify images and generate new image -based content”.
The conditions also authorize Meta Ai to “Keep and use” any shared personal information. The company can examine interactions with its AI, even conversations which are sometimes read by employees.
The problematic use of the personal data of its users is part of Meta’s DNA. Hence the fact that many are worried that with the development of AI, its practices are increasingly disrespectful of privacy.
