Forget Star Wars, LEGO formalizes its new Star Trek: The Next Generation set
After a few leaks which left little room for doubt, LEGO finally announces its set dedicated to the Star Trek science fiction universe. In order to reach the target of forty-year-olds with a little too much money on the PEL, the Danish firm chose Star Trek: The Next Generation for its luxurious new set of 3,600 pieces. Sold for a mere €379.99, the set “ Star Trek: USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D » of its baptismal name logically includes the eponymous ship, but also its (almost) complete crew.

Thus, the minifigures bear the image of the crew from recent seasons, each member being accompanied by their favorite object as an accessory – a cup of tea for Captain Jean-Luc Picard, the triorder by Geordi La Forge or even the devil’s trombone by William Riker. Moreover, we will also find the barmaid Guinan, Dr. Beverly Crusher, Data, Worf and little Wesley Crusher, unloved by fans. A paradoxical inclusion since the much appreciated Tasha Yar, abruptly removed from the series in episode 22 of the first season, is not in the game.
