France Identity: the austere application grows with a classic novelty, but welcome

Even at the heart of summer, the developers of France Identity are not idle. The application, which makes it possible to store its various official papers (identity card, driving license and gray card) has just been updated with a novelty which allows it to kiss the standards of 2025 a little more, namely a notification center.

France Identity offers a notification center

No beta phase beforehand this time, as was recently the case for the Support for Ouigo train ticketsthis novelty was deployed directly on the iOS and Android versions of France Identity.

As its name suggests, this notification center makes it possible to group in a dedicated section the alerts sent directly to France Identity. Thus, click on the bell added at the top right of the interface (visible in the illustration image of this article) allows for example to find an alert requesting to renew a connection.

Indeed, if the application allows you to connect to a site using FranceConnect without having to take out your identity card (passing through ID, for example), after a certain time this connection can expire. It remains to be seen what other types of France Identity notifications can relay to its users. Anyway, if this novelty is not revolutionizing anything, it allows at least very minimalist application to grow a little.
