About this game
Wordtactics is a solo strategic letter game. Place letters in a grid, then select the adjacent letters to form words and score points. Wordtactics is more strategic than most letters, as it requires a critical mind to get the best scores. If you like stimulating letters games that require more reflection than simple words, try wordtactics! Measure your Steam friends to get the best score, or try to break your own record.
How to play
Up to six letters will appear in the input zone. The player must choose where to place the letters in a grid, which adds a new random letter to the input zone. By selecting adjacent letters in the grid forming an English word, the player marks points according to the number of letters used and the length of the word. After using a number of letters in words, the player goes to the next level. At each new level, a new type of letter tile with special properties is introduced. These new tiles increase the score of the word or create new challenges, such as destroying other tiles or fulfilling the grid. When the grid is full, no more tiles can be placed and the game is over.
Strategy elements
Wordtactics offers a wide variety of strategies to obtain higher scores. Complete words can be kept in the grid rather than counted, which allows you to use additional letters to build longer words. Knowledge of the frequency of letters and diagrams is important to anticipate future words and choose the optimal placement of letters in the grid when no word is easy to spell. Particular attention to the values of the points of the letters and the bonuses of the special tiles makes it possible to determine the most efficient words among several options. The use of destructive tiles to destroy difficult or impossible tiles can prolong the part in the last levels, where words of words are often the highest. Repeatable competitive game
