Galaxy S25 & S24: with the October 2025 update, Samsung tackles new problems

Monthly security patches are coming to Samsung’s most recent Galaxy smartphones. This is how the deployment of the October 2025 update began around the world, initially tackling Galaxy S25 And Galaxy S24. Here are the fixes made!
What’s new with the October 2025 update on the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S24?
After having finally made available One UI 8 in September 2025 on the Galaxy S25, a major version running Android 16, it is time for Samsung to move on.
Although One UI 8.5 is still under development, with around ten new features for the beginning of 2026, this does not prevent the arrival of new, more discreet versions, and more precisely waves of security patches.
This is how SamMobile confirmed earlier this week the start of the deployment of the October 2025 security patch on the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S24… in Thailand. A first step which signals the very soon arrival on models marketed in other parts of the world.
The content of this update is quite simple to understand. There are 14 security patches linked to Android, corrected by Google, and 12 others patched by Samsung, and linked to its devices – Exynos chips and One UI software overlay.
We therefore advise you to monitor the section Software update in the days to come, in order to download and install the October 2025 security patch on your Samsung smartphone as soon as possible when it is finally available in France.
