Over the past few days, the Galaxy S26 were treated to a barrage of rumors. Between a launch period that is ultimately not so far away, faster charging for all models, details on the design or even more power: here is a summary of all the latest information on Samsung’s future high-end smartphones.

The design of the Galaxy S26 continues to make waves

After discovering the Galaxy S26 Ultra in pictures, it is now time to take a look at the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ – which will be finally present for this 2026 batch.

Android Headlines has indeed shared new information about them, starting with a series of 3D renderings of the Galaxy S26 made by the leaker OnLeaks. The opportunity to discover a slightly redesigned design compared to the Galaxy S25+.

The photo module with the teardrop-shaped sensors is in fact replaced by a vertical aluminum island, containing the 3 photo sensors. The LED flash is to the right of this element. This looks exactly like what Samsung is offering with the Galaxy Z Fold 7.

To this is added information on the thicknesswhich would increase to 7.35 mm, compared to 7.3 mm on the Galaxy S25+. The Galaxy S26 would also be entitled to a little extra weight, going to a thinness of 7.24 mm instead of 7.2 mm on its predecessor.

What’s new on the performance side?

Exynos 2600 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 on the program

In terms of performance, Samsung has finally chosen its strategy for 2026: a mix between one of its chips and one from Qualcomm.

This is howETNews claims that the Galaxy S26 and S26+ will benefit from the Samsung Exynos 2600 in the majority of countries (especially in Europe and South Korea), while other regions such as the United States will be entitled to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.

However, the Galaxy S26 Ultra would make everyone agree, with the use of the latest high-end chip from Qualcomm on all models sold across the globe.

With theExynos 2600Samsung should still satisfy the greatest number of people, with a high-performance and less energy-consuming chip – in particular thanks to the move to an engraving fineness of only 2 nanometers.

Better for photography by the way, but also AI

According to ChosunBizthe Exynos 2600 would also have other advantages on the photo side, notably in terms of optical or AI image stabilization. As a bonus, it would offer “many AI-based imaging features, such as image segmentation, Super Resolution zoom and per-object tone curve”reports SamMobile.

Finally, the source indicates that the image processor (ISP) of the Exynos 2600 would be approximately 30% more energy efficient than that of the Exynos 2400, which should improve battery life or even reduce heating during intensive use of the camera.

On the RAM side, Ice Universe announces LPDDR5X RAM which would be 25% faster, increasing from a bandwidth of 8.7 GB/s on the Galaxy S25 to 10.7 GB/s on the Galaxy S26. In addition to offering better energy efficiency, this would allow for smoother management of multitasking and resource-intensive applications, while improving the processing of intensive tasks such as those related to AI.

The leaker also adds that it would offer “significant improvements in camera performance”especially for the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

Faster wireless charging for all Galaxy S26s, but not only that

If there is one development specific to all Galaxy S26s, it would be wireless charging. According to information fromETNewsthe power of 15 W would finally be abandoned, replaced by 20 W on the Galaxy S26 and S26+, against 25 W on the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

As a bonus: the magnetic system like MagSafe on iPhones or even Pixelsnap of Pixel 10 would always be in the program, thus offering automatic alignment between the wireless charging coil and the charger, but also other accessories.

Concerning wired charging, nothing should change for the Galaxy S26 and S26+, stuck at 25 W and 45 W respectively. The Galaxy S26 Ultra would be the big winner of the year 2026, finally reaching a power of 60 W, confirmed again Ice Universe.

A welcome step forward, but still far from the competition’s services.

Samsung would not ultimately postpone the launch

While the launch period for the Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra seemed well and truly delayed, with an announcement during the months of February and Marchheadwinds have just appeared.

For ChosunBizSamsung would not have postponed the traditional Galaxy Unpacked, thus leading to an announcement at the end of January 2026, for marketing at the beginning of February.

In any case, this is what a source close to Samsung reported to the media, explaining that the postponement dates back to uncertainties around the Galaxy S26 Edge : “By removing the Edge model and adding the Plus model, the hardware verification period was lengthened, which almost delayed the launch, but this issue has been resolved and the launch is now possible next February.”.
