Google Maps now shows live availability of Tesla Superchargers
To democratize electric cars, offering convincing vehicles is not enough. We must also provide an efficient charging network available to all. If we can criticize Tesla in many areasElon Musk’s company should nevertheless be given credit for the fact that its Supercharger network of fast charging stations is going in the right direction. This is all the more true in November 2025 thanks to an announcement made jointly with Google Maps.
Tesla Supercharger display improves in Google Maps
Already displayed in the mapping application during a search, Superchargers now indicate, including in France, new information in addition to their charging power and some practical information: the number of places available and occupied in real time. As shown in the screenshot below, this goes through a small cartridge on the Supercharger plug.

Practical for heading to a station without unpleasant surprises on arrival, or choosing one Supercharger rather than another, especially for people not using the Tesla app, which already displayed this information. This new feature is available on all versions of Google Maps: Android, iOS, Android Auto and in Tesla vehicles.
