Harry Potter: the shooting of the HBO series starts with a Harry first overview

The Harry Potter series is filming.

It’s already time to go back to Hogwarts! The shooting of the series Harry Potter arriving on HBO Max Soon has just started at the Warner Bros. studio. de Leavesden, England.

To mark the occasion, HBO therefore lifted the veil on the look of the young Dominic McLaughlin in the shoes of Harry, and revealed the names of several new members of the distribution.

Forget Daniel Radcliffe, it’s now the turn of Dominic McLaughlin to lend his features to the “boy who survived”. The first image of the young actor in the Harry Potter costume was unveiled by HBO and everything is there: round glasses, sorcerer’s dress in the colors of the Gryffindor house, and a flash -shaped scar on the forehead.

The image also shows that the shooting of the series Harry Potter Officially started this Monday, July 14, with the executive producer Mark Mylod to make the first episode.

But that’s not all, some new talents were announced at Show casting. We therefore now know that Rory Wilmot lends his features to Neville Londubat, Amos Kitson plays Dudley Dursley, Louise Brealey is Madame Renée Bibine, flight professor, and Anton Leser camps the manufacturer of magic baguettes Garrick Ollivander.

They join a distribution already composed of Arabella Stanton (Hermione Granger), Alastair Stout (Ron Weasley), John Lithgow (Albus Dumbledore), Janet McTeer (Minerva McGonagall), Paapa Essiedu (Severus Rogue), Nick Frost (Rubeus Hagrid) or LOX Pratt (Draco Malefoy).

As a reminder, this series Harry Potter is designed to be a faithful adaptation of the literary saga signed JK Rowling. The first season is thus based on the first book, Harry Potter at the school of wizards.

Francesca Gardiner (Succession) Occupies the Showrunner and executive producer of the series, which also counts in its production Rowling, Neil Blair and Ruth Kenley-Itts of Brontë Film and TV, and David Heyman of Heyday Films, already in the production of the eight feature films Harry Potter which were created between 2001 and 2011.

The series Harry Potter is expected on HBO Max at the end of 2026 or early 2027.
