Heating: Tado ° Building on AI to lighten invoices and emissions

Heating and hot water represent almost 80% of the energy consumption of a home according to the European Commission. To lighten this expense, the company Tado °, specialized in domestic energy management, announces the arrival of artificial intelligence in its products. Its new service, called AI Assist, is available for users in the Tado ° X range.
Where the connected thermostats have so far been content to apply pre -established rules, AI now allows finer and predictive management. Based on 15 years of data collected from more than a million households, the equivalent of 120 billion hours of heating, tado ° algorithms are capable of anticipating energy needs.

Among the features offered: an adaptive heating that learns how each piece rises or loses in temperature, preheating triggered according to the return time of the occupants, a vacation mode which adjusts consumption in the event of prolonged absence, or even a detailed analysis of energy expenditure, Energy IQ, which we had already told you about in 2022.
The subscription to AI Assist is offered at the same price as the existing Auto Assist offer (€ 29.99 per year or € 3.99 per month). Customers already subscribed to this service will see their updated access automatically, without additional cost.
For Tado °, the stake is as economical as it is ecological. By reducing unnecessary heating, the company considers that they can help limit CO2 emissions related to housing. The Tado ° X range, launched in 2024, includes intelligent thermostats, radiator thermostatic heads, temperature probes and heat pump management devices.
