Here is a Bokeh Master F1.2 for APS-C Sony or Fujifilm hybrids signed Viltrox!

This objective is equivalent to an 85 mm given the 1.5x conversion coefficient to apply with an APS-C sensor. It is therefore an ideal focal length for portrait which allows you to keep a certain distance from its subject and limit deformations.
Beyond the focal length, it is also the maximum opening which goes in the direction of a creative portrait practice. The objective offers an ultra generous maximum opening of F1.2 which directly enters the catgeoie of Bokeh Master. Thanks to this type of opening it is possible to work on very low clarity areas (field depth) and to obtain particularly marked bokeh. This opening is ensured by a circual diaphargm with 11 strips. In addition, this ultra -large opening ensures very good skills for the objective for work in low highlighting conditions.

Optical level, the objective uses a formula composed of 13 elements divided into 8 groups with 1 asphanic lens, 3 high refraction index lenses and 1 glass with low dispersion. Viltrox announces high -flying performance and publishes fairly impressive MTF curves.
Autofocus level, there is a particularly rapid and precise Dual Motor Dual Motor motorization. For video the operation of the engine limits the vibration and the design of the objective limits the phenomenon of focus breathing. The minimum focusing distance is 50 cm which ensures a generous maximum magnification ratio of 0.13x for close -up photos.

PRO range obliges, the objective has careful manufacturing quality with a body made of aluminum alloy, protection against dust and humidity. The front lens also has a water -repellent sleeping. We also find on the frame a USB-C socket to make possible firmware updates. From an ergonomic point of view we find a declicable manual diaphragmpe ring, an autofocus switch and a customizable key. The objective weighs 570 grams and measures approximately 9 cm long.
Availability and price
The new AF 56mm F1.2 Pro APS-C is available in Sony E and Fujifilm X mount and offered at a price of 569 euros.
First opinion
Vilttrox therefore has a fairly complete range of Fixed Focals APS-C Ultra light with AF 27mm F1.2 Pro APS-C equivalent 40.5 mm, AF 75mm F1.2 Pro APS-C 112.5 mm equivalent and this new AF 56mm F1.2 Pro APS-C Equivalent 85mm. To develop the range even more, we should hope for the arrival of an equivalent large-angle 28 or 24 mm, i.e. a 16mm F1.2 Pro APS-C or an AF 18mm F1.2 Pro APS-C.
Anyway this new objective comes in competing with the SIGMA 56mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary, slightly less bright, which is offered in all the market frames at the price of around 470 euros. We also think of the Sirui Sniper 56mm F1.2 offered around 350 euros excluding promotion. The Viltrox model is therefore quite expensive and will have to convince in terms of handling and image quality to impose itself.
