After having built his notoriety with styling devices, Shark takes his first steps in the skincare sector with Cryoglow, a led mask truffled with technologies which is not intended to position itself as an aesthetic device but rather as a medical device. And to carry out this project, Shark surrounded himself with an armada of experts: light, optics, dermatologist, esthetician, in order to offer a solution thought above all as a care.

A surprising design, designed for comfort

The cryoglow is a device that surprises by its design: a rigid shell, more reassuring than the flexible models which directly fit the face. Inside this mask, there are small supports that keep a slight distance from the skin. Thus, the light does not fall into direct contact with the dermis, which improves comfort. As such, Shark also insists less on the number of LEDs than on their distribution. Each diode, called “triple-mèche”, combines red, blue and infrared light, and their spacing would have been studied enough to ensure a homogeneous coverage of the face, without areas of under or overexposure. Let it be said: the result is less based on the quantity of LED than on their quality and their placement, a bias operated by the Lucibelle teams.

The secret weapon: the cold that feels good

The Shark Cryoglow is mainly distinguished by an unprecedented asset: its integrated aluminum pads, capable of automatically cooling the eye area. This feature is made possible by using the Peletier cold (which sends a positive current to send cold around the eyes), the same that we find in some high -end refrigerators of Samsung. This unique innovation on the LED masks market makes it possible to instantly decongest the fragile area located under the eyes, thus attenuating morning dark circles and swelling. The user can choose to associate this refreshing mode with the action of LEDs, or to activate it alone to specifically target the gaze. During our essay, the effect of freshness was felt from the first seconds, offering a feeling that is both soothing and revitalizing.

The Shark Cryoglow LED mask is not content to be a simple LED mask: it offers a palette of care adapted to different skin needs, all controlled from a clear and reactive remote control. There is first a mode dedicated to the eye area, designed to soothe and alleviate tired brands thanks to refreshing technology, with modular sessions of 5 to 15 minutes. Next comes phototherapy with red light and infrared, which aims to reduce redness and improve the skin texture at the rate of six minutes a day for eight weeks. Skins subject to imperfections can opt for mixed blue light, supposed to reduce acne and standardize the complexion with daily eight -minute sessions. Finally, a lighter maintenance cycle, four minutes a day, allows you to maintain the results after a complete first treatment. In practice, the remote control – which also acts as a battery – makes the experience very accessible: readable menus, intuitive navigation and simple settings to choose its program as the duration of the sessions. Inevitably, battery life depends on the programs used and the frequency of sessions.

As always with Shark, the proposed price is really very attractive: the Shark Glow will be sold at € 359.99, which makes it very interesting given the features and technologies on board.
