HISENSE PT1: an ultra short focal 4K revolutionary video projector?
The PT1 that we could see during its presentation in Paris (well, almost Paris).
With the PT1, Hisense renews its range of ultra -short focal length video projectors by rethinking the formula of its range. The manufacturer wants to offer an easy to install, efficient and elegant product, without reaching the price of its highest -end PX3 Pro. Direct successor of PL2 (heir of PL1 that we had tested In 2024), the PT1 aims to offer a cinema experience at home without the usual reversing constraints compared to the projection surface (whether a smooth wall or a tensioned canvas).
A new, much more premium design and a very interesting new technology
The design was clearly not the Fort of PL1 and PL2, while the PX3 Pro is already a much more beautiful object. For its PT1, Hisense was therefore inspired by it and there is an aluminum dress with a bronze border here, as well as vertical speakers.
The design is resolutely better than that of PL1 and PL2.
Thanks to its new adjustable optics, it is now possible to modify the size of the projected image (up to 150 inches) without having to move the device. A real plus, especially for those who do not have a lot of space, and especially no very deep TV furniture. The PT1 will be – to our knowledge – the first ultra short focal video projector offering an adjustment of the genre, in addition to an automatic trapeze correction. No more positioning galleys of the projector, especially if your installation involves storing it after use.
A solid technical sheet, still in 4K
The PT1 is obviously based on Trichroma technology developed by Hisense. This triple RGB laser solution allows you to reach a wide cover of colorimetric spaces, and we hope that everything will be well calibrated. The projector delivers a brightness announced to 2500 Lumens ANSI and a native contrast of 3000: 1. Figures slightly lower than those of the PX3-Pro (brighter), but which remain solid, even if we will have to check all this during a test of course.
The operation of the laser on the brand’s video projectors.
Finally, the PT1 has the Vidaa House interface, compatible with most streaming platforms (Disney+, MyCanal, Apple TV, Netflix, etc.) and a large number of applications.
Price and availability
Displayed at an indicative rate of € 2,600 (and probably cheaper among resellers), the Hisense PT1 is more affordable than a PX3-Pro, than C2 Ultra of the manufacturer, or that a Formo the premium. It could prove to be an excellent ultra short focal model, without exploding the budget too much. It will be available in July.
