iOS 18.5: Apple corrects more than 30 safety flaws, update your iPhone quickly

Available since mid-May 2025, iOS 18.5 is the last update deployed by Apple before the long-awaited Interface overhaul planned with iOS 19. Composed of some interesting new featuresthis version is mainly distinguished by reinforced security. Indeed, it comes to clog around thirty vulnerabilities linked to the iPhone – which justifies its quick installation to protect its personal data.

Why install iOS 18.5 now on your iPhone?

Via an official dedicated page, Apple shared the safety changes to iOS 18.5 and iPados 18.5. This is an opportunity to discover a long list of corrected vulnerabilities with the update, ranging from Bluetooth to call history, including sharing documents via iCloud, or applications Facetime And Notes.

An exclusive correction to theiPhone 16th is also present, and aims for a flaw that allowed “An attacker occupying a privileged position on the network to intercept traffic”. This therefore seems directly related to the new component introduced on this model: the first 5G modem made by the company, the Apple C1.

Note, the Apple support document listing the security content of iOS 18.5 and iPados 18.5 does not specify whether the thirty corrected vulnerabilities was actively exploited during the deployment of these versions. Good news in itself, given that the apple firm usually specifies when it is aware of an active exploitation of a safety flaw.
