With an unprecedented technological feat thanks to its ultra-fine design, theiPhone 17 Air promises to impress at the start of the 2025 school year. A question is still unanswered: will this be enough to seduce buyers? A recent rumor seems to have found a concrete response, concluding that the too reduced autonomy would be prohibitive for the majority of users.

Autonomy is not there for the iPhone 17 Air

Last weekend, The information shared the results of internal tests carried out on the iPhone 17 Air. We learned that “The percentage of users that can spend a day without recharging the ultra-fine smartphone would be between 60 and 70 %”thus suggesting that this model would not be suitable for almost a third of Apple customers.

To fill this weakness, Apple would develop a dedicated shell, hiding an external battery within it. This accessory would thus cancel the main asset of the iPhone 17 Air: its finesse.

As a bonus, this model would have a lighter photo part, with the absence of ultra-angle and telephoto lens. This choice thus risks reducing its attractiveness to the general public, and even more if other compromises still unknown were to be added.

The information It also seems to confirm that the iPhone 17 Air will not have the success of the rest of the range, since it would only represent 10 % of the production of the next generation of Apple smartphones. A figure that suggests that 90 % of consumers would favor Other variations.
