A20 chip, a key novelty for iPhone 18 Pro

Jeff Pu is back to deliver some information about Apple’s projects. The famous analyst of GF Securities more specifically mentioned theA20 of iPhone 18 Proalso intended for the iPhone 18 Fold.

To begin with, he reiterates that the company led by Tim Cook would have opted for a 2 nm engraving of the TSMC founder, thus surpassing the various processes in 3 nm used since the generation A17 Pro. Result: these smartphones would be 15 % faster and consume 30 % less energy than the A19 of iPhone 17.

As a bonus, Jeff was undergoing that the A20 would use Wafer-Level Multi-Chip Module (WMCM) technology. Thanks to this technology, the RAM would be directly integrated with the CPU, the GPU and the neural engine – thus offering faster communication between these different elements, and therefore a potential gain in additional performance.

As a result, Apple would offer with the A20 chip clearly upwards, ideal for strengthening the capacities of Apple Intelligence, while improving the autonomy of iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Fold.
