
Lenovo is focusing on versatility with its yoga tab and idea tab plus

While the IFA of Berlin opens its doors this Friday, September 5, part of the editorial staff of Digital Already walks the lounge stands. We were able to discover two new tablets from the Chinese manufacturer Lenovo, whose TAB Yoga more recently bluffed.
Yoga tab: an all-in-one tablet to create and work
TAB yoga is positioned as a versatile device, both for multimedia creation and productivity. Its 11.1 -inch 3.2K 3.2K LCD screen ensures a brightness peak at 800 cd/m² and a refresh rate up to 144 Hz, that is to say ideal conditions for drawing, photo editing or simply the Binge-Watching. Lenovo also announces optimal display quality, thanks to the Superres AI which refines the resolution of photos and videos.

Its 4-speakers’ audio system, compatible with Dolby Atmos, promises a rich and immersive sound restitution. In terms of performance, the TAB yoga is based on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, a processor that animated the best smartphones of 2024, with up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. This choice guarantees a fluid experience, by anticipating the user needs thanks to functions like Lenovo Smart Ai Input and Lenovo AI Live Transcript, which facilitate text generation, translation or creation of summaries.
For creatives, slate can be used with the Lenovo Tab Pen Pro stylus, thus offering the possibility of using tools like Sketch-to-Image, which transforms sketches into digital works of art. For the ace of the photo, no miracle: like many of its competitors, the tab yoga is limited to a selfie sensor and a back module, each of 13 megapixels (f/2,2). There is also a macro module at the back, especially there for decoration.

The design remains sober, with an aluminum frame measuring 255.5 x 165.8 x 6.2 mm for 458 g, which makes it easy to transport. In terms of connectivity, it supports WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. Finally, the Chinese firm announces more than 12 hours of autonomy in video reading, thanks to its 8860 mAh battery supporting the fast load at 68 W.
Available in two colors in September, the Lenovo Yoga Tab should arrive in our regions for less than € 500 when it was launched.
Idea Tab Plus: a model for students
The Idea Tab Plus is distinguished by its slightly more strong format (278.8 x 181 x 6.29 for 530 g), while promising good daily performances. If its 12.1-inch 2.5K LCD screen should reach a brightness peak equivalent to the TAB yoga, its cooling rate does not exceed 90 Hz. The sound is also ensured by a 4-speaking system Dolby Atmos, leaving to hope for a similar audio quality.
Equipped with a Mediatek Dimensity 6400 chip, and a accumulator of 10,200 mAh, the Idea Tab Plus is advanced up to 13 hours of video reading autonomy. IA features such that Lenovo Ai Notes simplify the taking of notes, the summary of content and the organization of ideas. The tablet can also be used with the Lenovo Tab Pen or a keyboard, offering maximum flexibility for users wishing to work or study on mobility.
On the photo side, Lenovo plays simplicity with an 8 Mpx front camera, and at the back a main 13 Mpx module. Connectivity is also more modest, since the slate supports WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.2. The load can reach up to 45 W in wired.
Available in three colors and in a 5G or WiFi version alone, the Lenovo Idea Tab Plus intends to meet a wide range of needs, studies at content creation, while remaining affordable: from € 299.
