Honor advances in small steps on the folding smartphones market in Europe. Only its Magic V – whose V5 version has just made its debut in France – are marketed there. They are based on the “Book” format, like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold, which they intend to compete. THE Magic V5 is thus posting on the road to Galaxy Z Fold 7announced in the heart of the summer of 2025. However, the Chinese brand is advancing on the ground of folding terminals in the valve format, and announces in China the second version of its V Flip, the Magic V Flip 2.

If for the time being, French representatives of Honor assure us that a release of the aircraft is not planned in France, the smartphone is no less deserving that we are interested. The Magic V Flip 2 can boast of including technical characteristics that are still absent from the models with competing valves. Certainly thicker than Galaxy Z Flip 7 With its 6.9 mm open and 15.5 mm closed, and even heavier than the Samsung model (202 g), it justifies this template not only by its IP58/59 certification, but also by the integration of a 5,500 mAh battery. It is much more than the batch of competitors’ valve mobiles, and for good reason: Honor uses silicon carbon, as inside his Magic 7 Pro and Magic V5.

A very high definition main photo sensor

We also remember that in addition to its imposing battery, which is also responsible for 80 W, the smartphone offers a main photo sensor of 200 megapixels, accompanied by a large-angle optics; A definition capable of overcoming the absence of telephoto lens. On his side, Honor placed a second sensor, this time of 50 megapixels, accompanied by an ultra-angle compatible with a portrait mode. We note above all that these two photo modules are discreetly integrated into the smartphone case, without exaggerated elevator.

The Magic V Flip 2 is indeed sold from 5,499 yuan (less than 700 € excluding taxes at the current exchange rate), which can be compared to the Magic 7 pro (5,699 yuan at its Chinese launch, and € 1,299 when it was released).
