Mammotion completes its range of Luba Mini AWD mowing robots with a Lidar version

The new Luba Mini AWD Lidar is positioned as the first robot mower with Lidar, a system that uses laser beams to analyze the distances. The other two models in the range that includes the Luba Mini AWD 800 for 1600 € that we had the opportunity to test and Luba Mini AWD 1500 For € 1999, already offer wireless automatic navigation, up to 1500m² and management of 20 different zones, but do not have a Lidar sensor. Users had the choice between the installation of an RTK relay or to use 4G and NetTK+technologies, the latter offered without subscription until the end of 2025.
To get rid of satellites, the Luba Mini AWD Lidar is based on a visual tracking system coupled with smart management of multiple areas (up to 20 different cards can be saved). But this version goes further by integrating a Lidar at 144 bundles, capable of generating up to 200,000 points per second to build in real time a 3D card in the garden, with a precision to the nearest centimeter, even under the trees or in the areas badly covered by the GPS.

Thanks to this Lidar, the robot can detect objects at 75 meters, including those that are not very reflective, dark or small, such as toys or pets. This system clearly improves the reactivity of the mower and limits the risk of collision in congested or irregular gardens.
An all-terrain model for difficult terrain
Like the other Luba Mini, this LIDAR version is based on an all -wheel drive (AWD), which allows it to climb slopes up to 80%. It can therefore operate on damaged terrain or terrace gardens. Its format remains compact and adapted to small areas (up to 1500 m²), where other all-terrain mowers are more aimed at the large spaces.
With this Lidar version, Mammotion offers an offer now structured around three models: the Luba Mini AWD 800 for surfaces up to 800 m², the 1500 model for larger gardens, and this new Lidar version which emphasizes on -board intelligence and 3D vision. Available since June 30 in Europe, it is marketed via the brand’s site and on Amazon.
